FYI: Den's 2017 Shincha Kunpu Tasting Comments:
The tea leaves of this year's Kunpu are a little shorter than Hashiri Shincha. I was told that the area where Kunpu was grown stayed cooler and eventually the farmer decided to pick tea leaves even though the leaves were a little short at harvest time. Yet, it does not mean that the tea leaves were not grown enough. At first cup, I found I was right. The flavors were condensed in the short leaves. I noticed the mild taste slowly spread in my mouth and this mild taste stayed for quite a while. The 2nd cup was just what Kunpu means, "Aromatic Wind". It had a fresh taste going through not only my mouth, but throat and nose too. 2017 Kunpu will refresh your body and mind!
