FYI:Den's 2016 Shincha Kunpu Tasting Comments:
The aroma for this year's Kunpu is fresh and grassy leading me to expect a grassy taste. However when I took the first sip, a surge of Umami spread through my mouth unlike the slight bitter taste I expected. The aftertaste left in my throat was much like this year's Hashiri Shincha. At the 2nd sip, more Umami and a slight astringency was overlaid on the aftertaste. My mouth and nose became full of a natural green flavor. The taste lasts long specially in my throat and however hard I swallowed, the aftertaste lingered. The second cup was still crisp and full of good flavor. 2016 Kunpu gives you a strong yet comfortable flavor to please your senses.
